    LeCure's first sub-par outing in a while.

Not that bad an outing. A phantom HBP, two bunts, and a semi-intentional walk.

And it wasn't truthfully all that sub-par.

Some bad luck, to be sure, but he just didn't seem very sharp. Past few weeks he's been really sighted in and looking very much in control.

I can't blame Sam at all. I blame the Reds bats, that Belisario fellow, and the home plate umpire.

This is the trade off of 2004-06.... from good/great offense and no pitching and scary D.... to great pitching/D and an almost 1992 like offense on a lot days.

    Nice! Ethier stikes out swinging.

I don't always believe in lefty/lefty righty/righty matchups, but when it do, it's because of hitters like Ethier.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."
