It was definitely the most awesome day at GABP I've ever been to.

After surviving the Lost Decade, this season (and 2010, although I hope the results are a little different) are just oh so sweet. I sat next to a guy today who was a Dodger "fan" from Indiana. I asked him how he came to be a Dodgers fan just making small-talk, and he goes "Well that's a long story... I used to be an Indians fan, but then they had some bad seasons and I dropped them and started following The Red Sox. And now with Boston being crappy I'm a Dodgers fan." I just looked at him in disbelief. I couldn't believe anyone would even admit to that, much less be that much of a fair-weather front-running "fan".

If you can't tough out the bad seasons you don't deserve the good seasons!

I don't get that. On the other hand, I sat next to a Dodger fan who lives in Lexington. He's lived there for about 20 years but grew up in L.A. I can respect that. That's loyalty to your hometown there.

Same here! (I'll repeat this on the other thread... If what I saw on the big screen of the celebration with the interviews makes it to the FSO "special" Monday night, it will be worth watching and keeping!)

Some fan videos are starting to pop up on YouTube. Apparently none of those fans work for Fox Sports. Taking a video and making it immediately available is pretty technical stuff.

Yeah that is truly pathetic. That guy has no clue what it means to be a fan. Sounds like most Steelers fans I know.

It sounds like a lot of fans... takes a lot of effort to truly support a team. I consider myself blessed that I follow a team close by, now have the funds to see them live, and work at a small company that knows my passion and allows me to be flexible. Will be taking the day off tomorrow because of the late game tonight.

It's the day after and I'm still grinning from ear-to-ear. The only thing that I feel bad about is the fact that Dusty wasn't able to be there to celebrate with them. Really, REALLY unfortunate. Get well soon Dusty.

    I agree totally!!

I am enjoying this moment immensely, however if this is the only celebration we experience this year I will be very dissapointed.

This is arguably the best team in baseball and that is not something we could say in 2010.

Has anyone ordered 2012 Division Champs shirts through MLB.com?

I did within a couple hours after they clinched and they are on back order.

Anyone know the story of this cup/trophy they are passing around? Are we witness to a new tradition being born or have I just missed this in the past?

I believe that is the Ohio Cup. They got for getting the better of the Tribe this season.

Makes more sense than a division cup, but hey, you never know.
