Ok, we now go to inning number six. Bailey still in there against the Dodgers, 1-1 ballgame. Reds have left 3,000 men on base.

Bailey at 71 pitches. Juan Uribe hitting for Kershaw.

1-1 count on Uribe. Kershaw argued to stay in the game. Now 1-2.

Base hit for Uribe to left field.

I was surprised by Cairo's shaky defense. I figured by now he'd be a no-range steady-hands guy like Juan Castro, but he seemed to stumble around out there.

One on for the Dodgers on the Uribe single. Now Mark Ellis.

There's some possibility Valdez is a Red next year. I see no possibility for Cairo.

Ball 1 to Ellis. 77 pitches for Homer. 2-1 on Ellis.

NO reason what so ever why DiDi is not starting for Valdez. We know what Valdez brings to the table.

What if Valdez breaks his hand, or Corzart hurts his side again? DiDi might have to be on the post season roster. Let him play..get him so at-bats. We have clinched.

    Ellis out.

There are many reasons. Didi is a lefty hitter. You don't expose him to Clayton Kershaw.

This isn't try out time. Valdez will be on the roster. So Reds will give him some starts.

Reds management doesn't care that RedsZone loves the young Red prospects.

I'd say that is a solid defense play by Stubbs.... I don't think anyone else on the Reds team would get to that ball. (On the current roster)

Very fine catch. He's really smooth in CF, whatever his UZR might be.

Kemp the batter 0-2 count. Still man on first, sixth inning, two outs for LA.

    84 Bailey pitches.

Low, 1-2. ESPN mentions the Little League Park comment by Bailey.

Force out, three down, 1-1 headed to bottom six.

Tolleson, tough on righties, pitching to Reds righties.

    First Stubbs. Strike one looking.

2-2 count. Strike three called. Unreal he took that pitch, clearly a potential strike call.

Hanigan fouls it off. Smash but Ramirez nice play at short to get him.

    Two outs.

Stubbs has to be near the top of the list for most times striking out looking.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
