ESPN is saying he's been hospitalized with an irregular heartbeat. *crosses fingers* Get well soon Dusty.

"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

They need to win a 12-0 laugher today. Keep the stress level at a minimum.

I think today already showcases Dusty's official 'no stress' lineup.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Could the Reds have Lou Brown moment during the playoffs? I certainly hope not for Dusty's sake, but I can just imagine him fighting with the nurses to watch the game.

    I hope Dusty recovers.
I was going to make a joke about how the Reds' medical staff wanted him to try to play through it for a few months and see if it got better on its own
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

    That sounds worse than pneumonia.

I think there's an outside chance Dusty retires this offseason and we'll be looking for a new manager.

He's had an irregular heartbeat for some time, so it's not a "new" condition, albeit not the best thing to have

Ah wasn't aware of that. I for one hope that's not the case, I enjoy having Dusty as part of the team.

    Get well soon Dusty.

More tests are coming. Hopefully it isn't anything serious.

    Re: Dusty may have pneumonia

Dusty is still in Chicago due to his doctors not wanting him to travel. It's going to be bittersweet if we clinch tonight without Dusty. I'm really starting to get concerned about his health.
