    I have a standalone DVR that I bought at Wal Mart. You just have to have your TV set to what you want to record.

    I did! No more $9/month for having the DVR-thing in my digital box. They tried to strong arm me with the typical BS. I told them that if approx. $450 that I have paid already for the DVR-thing in my box wasn't enough, then I'd just get rid of the DVR-thing and then there will be no $11/month for the service. They agreed that it seemed fair, lol.

    Thanks to all for the advice. My daughter also now watches the Kids On Demand channel. She digs it! The sad part is that she can run the controller better than I can.
