No doubt. No lie that this is the most excited (little sweaty, fidgety in my chair, etc) I have been as a fellow die-hard since Travis Wood's near perfect game in 2010. We've all seen walkoffs, fantastic defensive plays and the Aroldis Chapman thing, but nothing has had me as excited/nervous for quite some time as these two games (and one of them was a loss!). Bronson Arroyo took one to the 8th this year, but entering that 9th with it is a cool thing. Great stuff.

    Thanks HOMER. Nice work.

Have to wonder if it is the ONLY Reds no hitter that has been on tv. Anyone know?

Tom Browning's perfect game was on TV - whole family was in the living room watching that game!

I was working at a radio station that night, so I missed it. This one going into the playoffs feels really special.

Reds used to show all away games on TV (since late 50's) these are the games that might have been on TV

August 19, 1965 Jim MaloneyŁ (1) at Cubs
    July 29, 1968 George Culver @ Phillies

I'm betting Maloney's was on Chicago TV for sure

Watched the Seaver game in person, but watched Browning's on TV as well as two of Maloney's being on TV, but I couldn't watch so I listened.

I didn't initialy notice this was the thread from last year when I opened it last night. I almost responded to your post:

"The one last year in Pittsburgh was televised."

    Haha.

Also, to whoever said Browning's perfect game was televised ... are you sure about that? I don't think it was televised in Dayton (where I was living at the time) and I didn't think games were ever shown on TV in Cincinnati and not Dayton. Also, we were able to pick up Cincinnati channels in Dayton in '88. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the Browning game was radio-only.

It was not televised. Only highlights are from Jumbo tron camera. That is the shame of it. Remember it was a 2 1/2 hour rain delay.

I was there to witness. Wish I had would of been at Homers game last night. That would have been historical for me. (Sorry sounding like Marty thinking of myself)
