That was a nice hit. Right where it was pitched.

Speier isn't doing those things if these game mattered for anything.
I would probably had Heisey just do a straight steal.

** See how that is done Ironman. My hindsight prediction is second to none!

Never seen a bunch of people so excited about a meaningless win.
Yes that was a very impressive infield single. I thought for a second it was leaving the yard. - texasdave 10/13/12

Heisey was thrown out on a bad call. Pls pay attention.

I wish Spier would have batted for Valdez in the top of the last inning. If he wasnt going to let Brandon bat, at least let Henry Rodriguiez hit for him.. he can play 2nd!!! Man i wish this offense would start hitting before the post season starts..This offense is bad right now

You know what though (save last year), most post-season games are low scoring - great pitching games. The Reds only need a couple of bats to get hot: Bruce can hit good pitching and he is due. Votto can hit good pitching. I think there are some guys on the Reds team that are capable of hitting good pitchers. Even though I will probably get laughed at, I will say who they are:
    Votto
    Bruce
    Phillips
    Heisey
    Frazier
    Navarro
    Maybe Rolen

You only need a couple of guys to get hot. Everybody is going to have guys with good numbers on their team. The question is, what can you do when you play against the great pitchers. I think the Reds have some guys that can hit good pitchers.

Stubbs wins a game with his bat in the NLDS. It is just that kind of year for the Reds.
He still has me convinced he will never hit.

Sorry man, Heisey won't be in there.
