"Okay you guys, pair up in threes!" --Yogi Berra
I didn't think that one was hit hard enough to get out!
Ah well, send them to sub .500 tomorrow.
If evolution is outlawed, only outlaws will evolve!
I loathe AM. Oh well, meaningless game anyway for the most part.
http://cincinnati.reds.mlb.com/news/...k_cin&c_id=cin"You know what seed I'd like to have? Me, I'd like to be three," Speier said. "I'd like to know that they're coming to me, and I've got two games at home. But that's not the scenario or anything that this team is about in regards to winning or losing games. We're going to play every game, and we're going to try to win every game. We're playing teams that are hot, that we don't want to face, and we're going to try to do what we can to knock everybody we play out."
So no one was being sarcastic.
That is only for the 1st round Chris...not the the next round.
It's fine. Let Stubbs and Valdez try and win games for you and lose out on best record.....and maybe we will sit around wishing we would not have when we get past the 1st round.
Attended 1976 World Series in my Mother's Womb. Attended 1990 World Series Game 2 as a 13 year old. Want to take my son to a a World Series Game in Cincinnati in my lifetime.
I hope that's not his mentality. I gaurantee it isn't Dusty's, who returns on Monday.
The playoff setup for this season is stupid, and typical Bud Selig, but there's no reason this team can't at least win one on the road before having 3 shots to win two at home.
Things return to "normal" in round 2.
