    NLDS Poem

    Enjoy! I hope

It's been 17 years since this town had a playoff series win,
2012 in the Queen City, makes us forget all the times between now and back then.

October 6th was the date, a Fall Saturday night, and we all stayed up late
Johhny Cueto couldn't get past the second batter in the Bay,
But Nails LeCure and Mat Latos came on to save the day.

DatDudeBP took Mr. Perfect deep, Reds fans let out a sigh of relief
Then Jay went yard and it really set the table, that bomb made sure that Cain wasn't able.

In the ninth The Cuban Missile launched and it got quite exciting,
but when he was done with Posey he'd lit him up like lightening.

The next night Bronson Arroyo was the starter for "The Bake"
The Giants could barely get a hit as each pitch fluttered in like a snowflake.

Early on Ryan Ludwick took that lefty deep
8 more runs were added on, the Reds win was complete.

Now on to Cincinnati, the home of the Cup.
Homer takes the hill, bring your brooms and help our boys sweep up!
Attended 1976 World Series in my Mother's Womb. Attended 1990 World Series Game 2 as a 13 year old. Want to take my son to a a World Series Game in Cincinnati in my lifetime.

I don't think it's right to say you would have done a haiku without giving people a haiku.
