ok I'm going to over react to 5 innings of this game here but you all are thinking it so I'm just going to say it: This team is not as good the Cards. This team does not have enough offense to win a playoff series. Bronson Arroyo will get rocked if they pitch him in game 2 in SF. If the Reds do have a chance to win, Aroldis Chapman will blow the save because he can't throw strikes.

Match made in hell with the fact we suck with RISP and it takes a ton for the Cardinals to actually give up multiple hits with RISP at home in a game.

Nice play at both ends to retire Beltran.

very much so.. This is an average Arroyo start that if the Reds were swinging the bats, would feel a little better about it.

I wish this team would start hitting like when Votto was out, Now it seems they are waiting for Joey to do it alll again.. Got to get back in that mind set they had when every player stepped it up. NOW the Reds hitting looks like they are hurrying to get the season over:No plate discipline, cant hit with runners in scoring position/not making the opposition pitcher go deep in the count etc.. I dont wnat to worry, but the way the offense isnt getting it done, it does worry me when playoffs start. Hearing Speier say on TV he isnt worried, well I am as a fan.. hope I am wrong and they hit..before its to late and the excuses start

I think it's like this...if the Reds take 2 of 3 here, and LA sweeps the Giants there will be a 1 game playoff in LA and then another in Atlanta.....then if the Cards take both those they have to beat either the REDS or the Nats to go to the NLCS.

I can assure you that the Reds are the better team.....does not of course mean that they will win out.
