The Extra WC killed any hope of drama the last couple games, as all 10 teams are looking to be locked in after tonight. Without it NY/Baltimore and the Rangers/A's fighting for the Divisions and the losers the only WC spot would be a crazy finish.
This is why if I am in charge Latos goes game #1, Bailey #2, he is awesome on the road, then Cueto at home for game #3 as he doesnt give up the long ball at home Bailey does, then Arroyo game#4.
In 2010, this is why i was so ticked Baker started Volquez game #1 when we all knoew back then Travis Wood almost no hit the Phillies during the season. To me that would have been a psychological advantage the Reds would have had back then.. I just dont want the same mistake with the roation cost them.. maybe im reading to much into it.. just looking for the best opportunity this team needs to win with a lousy offense for the month of September and it hasnt changed getting ready for the playoffs..
