    NL ERA Leaders.....

Well I did not see a thread about this....and I have a lack of threadability starting.....so here it is.

#1 in ERA... CG and Saves. Not since the 20's or 40's has a Reds pitching staff been that good....in regards to numbers like this.

We were #3 in ERA, though we did give up the least amount of runs.

The stats I see have the Reds tied with the Dodgers at 3.34, with the Nationals at 3.33. But the Reds did give up the fewest total runs, which I find remarkable, given the offensive tilt of GABP. Of course, it also underscores the mediocrity of the Reds' offense, which placed 9th in the league in runs.

In all of baseball, the Reds were second to the Rays in run prevention.

Edit: Sorry, didn't see that puffy posted the same.

Baseball Reference had them listed as #1 in ERA.... so I blame them for misleading me.

Reds were rather easily #1 in ERA+, which adjusts for the parks each team plays all of its games in.

Absolutely amazing. Best Reds pitching I've ever witnessed, that's for sure.

    Also:

    • 2nd in FIP
    • 4th in xFIP
    • T-3rd in SIERA
    • 6th in K/9
    • 3rd in BB/9 (this may be my favorite!)
    • 7th in HR/9 (second favorite considering their ballpark)

All in all, a good pitching staff.

Pitching, pitching, pitching. Not sexy to watch day-in and day-out, but after 6 months or so it might cause a flag/pennant to hang in the OF the following season. Those flags/pennants are very sexy stuff.

Same here. Never thought I would see the day the Reds had the best pitching in the NL and maybe all of MLB.
