The Reds have won their last seven postseason games on the West Coast. Their last loss was Game 4 of the 1972 World Series.

In the 76' WS there were no defensive substitutions or pinch hitters. The "Great Eight" played every inning of all 4 games.

The "Great Eight +1", as Dan Driessen served as DH for every inning of all four games.

The Reds have played each of the remaining AL playoff teams in the World Series and has won the last meeting of each team except the Orioles.

The Reds have a 9 game winning streak in World Series games, having swept in both 1990 and 1976. The last World Series loss was the infamous Fisk HR game in 1975.

You mean the HR that won the Series, 3 games to 3?

The Reds 9-0 win over SF was the largest shutout margin the Reds have had in their post season history. It also tied the largest margin of victory with the 1995 NLDS win over the Dodgers, 10-1.

Yea it is funny how much publicity that HR got when really all it did was postpone the inevitable.
