Also I don't see how this could be reviewable, since the ump called the ball dead, even if instant replay was available on all plays.

In a backyard game, it would be a good old "do over".

Why does MLB have the infield fly rule? If I guy pops up with runners on base, why shouldn't it be a double play, if the infielders are smart enough to pull it off. It's not like the hitter did anything good and is being punished?
I think the rule was invented because MLB simply didn't want the game to be played where players could intentionally not make a catch so they could get two outs. I don't see anything smart about dropping a ball in order to get two outs.

Looks like they may be reviewing video of the call.

The ball isn't dead on an infield fly.

The difference between the bases loaded and 1 out and 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs is so huge, in the 8th inning.

    McCann walks. Bases loaded.

Would have walked in a run.

I guess they got the bases loaded again, but still 2 outs instead of 1.

Wish McCann had walked all the way into right field to look for first base.

This game is a perfect example of why I don't like the extended playoffs. This game has been a very sloppily played game, like most of the games involving Wild Card teams in the past, especially last years World Series. I want the playoffs to represent the best of MLB
