Terrible luck for Derek Jeter- an elite, class player and one of my favorites. He's an anti-Cardinal if ever there was one.

    Sorry to see this.

Did you see the jackwagon Yankee fans on the foul ball that Peralta slid for? A good case could be made that they interfered with a ball in play (not that big of a deal). Then some idiot tries to rip his glove off him as he's laying there.

So yeah, despondent Yankee fans is a dream come true for most baseball people.

No, the first rule of baseball is that anyone can win at anytime. The "favorite" margin is always pretty small.

Don't the Yankees have a light-hitting bench player now who's played a little shortstop?

The Yankees can afford to have Juan Castro and reggie Taylor on this bench with that stupid RF porch they have.

Leyland should be open to some big time criticism after letting Valverde pitch to Ibanez or even have him out there to try and pitch to him. Stupid.

Sorry about Jeter..... he does not deserve that.

    A-Rod's played a little shortstop.

He barely has enough range to play 3B nowadays.

    3-0 Detroit now

The last 2 runs scoring after a blown call on a play that would have ended the inning

Staring at losing the first two at home w/o having to face Verlander. Not good.

Already up 2-0 on a Freese homer off of Bumgarner.

Yes, we're all mourning the loss of Derek Jeter. Oh, wait, he's not dead? It's just a broken ankle?

This should just give the Cardinals the trophy now. It is unbelievable. Descalso and Kozma are red hot out of nowhere. And Lance Lynn is throwing a no hitter
