Beltran goes deep to make it 8-3 as VP has apparently fallen asleep again.

I don't get the root for the Nationals thing. Sure, I hate the Cardinals like everyone else but, if it's St. Louis the Reds have home field advantage and a far superior defense and pitching staff. I'm just watching this series and taking it as it comes, I do want to see it go 5 games giving the winner only one day off before the NLCS starts.

No One wanted to pick King Kong when he fought... until he fought Godzilla, then everyone rooted for him.

In a perfect world they play five games and wear each other out with the Cardinals losing in away that haunts little children in Missouri for the the rest of their lives.

    That I could live with.

Am I the only one who thinks getting the Cardinals in Cincinnati after a five game series is the best case scenario for the Reds? They would be on the road for over a week and would in all probability have their bullpen spent.

I'm torn on the matter. I'd love to give the knockout punch to a worn out Cardinals team but I also can''t help but to want them dead as soon as possible. They've proven that they can go on a run even when no one would ever expect it.

Washington is a better team that the Cards, but I'm hoping they beat the Cards anyway.

It seems like the other teams in the NL are having pitching problems, though it's small sample size.

One thing you can say about the Reds. Even when our hitting went south in September, our pitching never waivered. And there isn`t any remaining staff in the AL that comes close to matching up to ours.

Sure, I'd love to see the Cards out of it, but really I just want the championship and I don't really care who they have to go through to get it. I honestly think if they play like they did yesterday, it's not going to matter who they're playing or what park they're playing in.

I want the Reds to face the Giants, Cardinals, and Yankees en route to winning it all. It would have to go down as one of if not the greatest postseason run ever. When has anybody ever defeated the previous three World Series Champions in one playoff year?

The Cardinals = the Steelers, meaning their luck is limitless, they get repeated gifts from the umpires/referees, their fans are insufferable and they usually find a way to win games they shouldn't.

And, frankly, I'm tired of the Reds playing them.

I think this thing might go five games now. The Cardinals have to be favored in game three with everyone's favorite pitcher squaring off with Edwin Jackson.

I want the Cards to win in 5 games, exhaust the bullpen, and meet the Rdlegs with a home field advantage to Cincinnati.

And then, this team and city exorcises those demons. The beast must be slayed, and its best and most satisfying if done by the Reds.
    sorry we're boring
