I've already come to terms with the fact that the Cardinals will win the World Series. Justin Verlander will probably miss the team plane or slip in the clubhouse before game 1 and the Cards will go on to victory.

That Game 3 v. the Giants when Homer pitched like an ace and Hanigan and Rolen dropped the ball will bug me for a long time.

...or, more likely given the Cards recent luck, Wainwright will miss the Series with something, and someone like Joe Kelly steps up and goes Mickey Lolich (3-0 in the '68 Series) all over the Tigers.

Zito may be the lucky charm. He pitched bad against the Reds, and next thing you know the Giants came back to win the series. It's that Einstein-like quality in Bruce Bochy, knowing just when to throw the other team off with a bad start from Zito to clinch the series.

    Go Giants

Make it 4-0 as a run scores on a good bunt for Zito

If its any consolation, I'd be glad to see a full season of Pete Kozma. Dude is brutal fundamentally at SS, makes Ryan Theriot look good. I know Furcal is due back, but if he sees any significant time.....wait, we say this every year
