The Tigers would have to find a way to not be shut out first, before we start talking comeback.

I don't really have a horse in this race, but my boss at work is from Detroit, and while he's a "Tigers' fan"...he's not really. Bandwagonner at it's finest. And he rather eagerly rubbed it in my face that the Reds were out and "his Tigers" were in. I had to point it out to him that he wasn't even aware that they made the playoffs until I told him. Anyway, he rubbed it in my face yet again by telling me he was flying to Detroit because he got tickets to the Series. He was so confident because he was going to game one with Verlander. Well, we saw how THAT turned out. LOL. I haven't heard from him since. :O)

Congrats to the Giants. On to the off-season and preparing for a 2013 Reds title.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

    Good one, Detroit.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Great story, mixed feelings about the Reds being part of it, but very happy for the Giants, they definitely earned it.

Like the overwhelming number of Americans I didn't watch a single pitch. I would bet that both the Broncos/Saints game and CNN's hurricane coverage absolutely blew Game 4 out of the ratings water.

Didn't watch very much of it, but from what I saw, the Giants are a very sound team with terrific pitching.

They should sign their manager up for ten years. Very fine manager.

And who cares, really? I don't understand the hand wringing about ratings. I like to watch baseball. What 'Merica watches is of no concern to me. People watch Jersey Shore too.
