Bruce hits one into the teeth of the shift. I hate that shift.

3-1 heading to the bottom of 8.

A key is to keep Sandoval off base for Posey. What are his splits? Would the Reds be well served to leave Marshall in for Sandoval?

Too bad he didn't come up with a Chick Kick to Scutaro's head after the matrix duck.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

I'd have to think so. I don't know his numbers, but most switch hitters are much better from the left side, more powerful at the very least.

He has always hit righties much better than lefties, as I've now posted four times. Let's see what Dusty does.

Broxton in to pitch. Heisey stays in to play left.
