What wacky thing is going to happen to result in a Cards win tonight?

My hope is that Timmy will be angry enough about his season to do the job tonight negating any wacky things and yielding a 2-2 series. Think it's all about Timmy. Either he'll deliver or he won't. If he does, low scoring affair on both sides with Giants the winners.

Crazy the two teams that could meet in the WS are in because MLB added a 2nd WC and the White Sox lost 11 of the final 15 games to blow a 3 game lead both getting in with 88 wins. The 2011 Cards 90, 2000 NYY 87 and 2006 Cards 83 are the 3 fewest wins to take the World Series crown in the last 25 years in full seasons.

Would be nice if Jay's .430 BABIP at home would fall to a realistic number, Jays single followed by a 4 pitch walk to Carpenter seems about right.

Wow--surprisingly bad start for Timmy. If he doesn't make it past the 4th, I'd be tempted to call it series over even with another game to play. Really hoping it doesn't play out that way but, right now, the guy doesn't seem to be able to throw a strike.

Nothing you can do to beat a mediocre Cards in the playoffs, the only shot they ever have to lose is when they have a good team. Maybe in the WS Justin Verlander can improve on that 0-2 with a 5.73 ERA from the World Series last time they lost to the Cards 83 win team.

Only an experienced cynic (from Cincy, Chicago or now even DC) could nail it that way. Nicely done. Smile and nod here.

One day too late Hunter, do that in the 3rd or 7th last night your team is up 2-1 in the series.

The Cards' ,3 and 4 and 5 hitters are all but useless in this series...what do they have, like 4 singles total?

St Louis winning this series decisively just shows more the Reds need dang near a roster overhaul because none of these players besides Ludwick were prepared for success in the playoffs

How on earth was most of the Cards roster prepared for the playoffs, half couldn't even be successful in the regular season or even in the minors.

Here is a stat typical of the Cards.

Over their last 28 games plus 4 inning at home since they got blasted 15-0 by the Giants they are allowing teams to hit 36-for-227 .159 with RISP with not all those hits scoring runs! Is their grass there made out of Four-leaf clover?
