Valverde has allowed 7 ER in his last 1.1 innings.

Pretty cool. I most want the Yankees and Cards out now versus rooting for the other two per se. Hope DET can hold on bottom of this inning. I'm still singed by Kurt Suzuki's "insurance run" in the 8th last night in DC. Turned out to be irrelevant. We're in the twilight zone of both pens at this point.

Jeter's grimace didn't look good. Big deal if that's serious. Though, worst case if he was lost, it'd probably just re-light the Cano and A-Rod fuses anyway.

2 run DET lead heading into the bottom of the 12th. Hopefully whoever the Tigers bring in to shut things down doesn't do a Storen...or a Papelbon for that matter. Had a 2 run lead last night in top of the 9th.

good for the tigers! hope the Nats were watching. That's how you close out a game...after blowing a save...

3 more of those and there will be at least a small bright spot to this post season. A DET-SF series is the best scenario for me at this point, as suboptimal as that is.

If the Tigers and Cards play in the WS the teams tied for 11th best team will be assured to win he title. Now the teams with the worst record heading into the playoffs are 73-66 while the teams with the best record are 75-66.

They key to winning in the playoffs is needing to play hard until the last day and having at least one lock down SP who keeps the ball in the zone and park.

If the Yanks don't comeback the road teams will be 15-9 .625 in the playoffs after going .467 in the regular season.
