Well, that was fun. No tension and lots of runs. Arroyo was great and the bats have come alive. For everyone fretting about whether this team will hit can now put that worry aside. Take care of business Tuesday and finish off the Giants.

Left my phone by my bed last night when I turned in. Woke up around 2 a.m. and was pleased to see we'd won 9-0. A bit later my wife stirred and I rolled over and told her. What a great marriage we have - she was just as happy as I was. Then back to sweet slumber with visions of moving on in the playoffs!

Great game! Well...not a great game in a "baseball contest" sense but a great game for the Reds.
The Giants look whupped.
To me, the star of the past two games has been the defense.
Love that defense!
I like to go back and read the opposing team's paper and their account of a game. Here's what the San Francisco Chronicle wrote about yesterday's game:
Arroyo skunked the Giants with his array of offspeed pitches thrown at every imaginable angle. Reds pitchers won with brute force in Game 1 then dropped a velvet hammer in Game 2.
The story also noted that no team has won three games on the road to come back from an 0-2 deficit and, further, that the Reds have not been swept at home this year, nor have we lost three in a row at home either.

Apparently the Giants dont like having salad tossed up there
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob
