I never understood defenses shifting on Votto. He's always been a spray hitter.
What if this wasn't a rhetorical question?

While true, when he hits the ball on the ground, he pulls it.

More detail for those of us in the Mountain Time Zone and at work for awhile would be greatly appreciated...I can switch back and forth to Gameday, but much more detail is often given here. So what did BP do? Steal 2nd and thrown out at 3rd?

He was running, ball went to the backstop. Went for 3rd, thrown out.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Luddy smashes one into LF on the 1st pitch.

Yes. Posey was nonchalant in retrieving the ball and coaxed BP into thinking he had 3rd easy. Play at 3rd wasn't close.

And here's a hit by Ludwick. 1st and 2nd, two outs. Bruce up.
