    In this spot, the DP would have been absolute death.

    It's interesting that if no one is on base Votto chokes up on his bat but if people are on base he chokes down to the nozzle. In the reg season before his injury he would only choke up with 2 strikes. He's clearly looking to get base hits with no one on and big hits with men on.
