We are still (depressingly) bad.
My heart goes out to those who attended this game, which had no redeeming qualities.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
Ludwick fouls out to 1st. Reds lose 8-3.
Season on the line in about 17 hours.
We're 20 hours away from hailing Latos as a hero and putting these last two days behind us.

*sigh*
Just got home. My daughter's school had their homecoming game parade and with my wife working I was "forced" to attend. I'm so bummed. But, on the plus side, we've still got another game, it's at home and we've got Latos going who's been nails lately. I still like our chances.
Am I the only one who hopes to never see Arredondo pitch another inning for the Reds? IMO he's Volquez as a reliever. Loads of potential, but no concept on how to harness it. I'd take Ondrusek over him in a heartbeat.
I might just be grouchy right now but I'm kinda annoyed with the national media's view of today's game as "Lincecum working his magic again". I mean, lets just gloss over the 8 runs they scored and give the headline to the 4.1 IP 1 ER Lincecum. Whatever moves copy I suppose.
I must confess, I left after the 8th inning since my wife & I had tickets to the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company last night. I had originally said I'd walk up after the game and stay in the lobby until the intermission, but with it being about 7:10 and the game seeming hopeless, I thought I'd take in the whole show. It was Romeo & Juliet, a fine production, and it gave me the chance to experience lots of pathos to see two events that didn't turn out well. There might have been more bloodletting at the Reds game, by the way.
Plus, I got a pretty good brisk walk in from GABP up to Race & Garfield Place, asking the guy at the desk if I could leave my backpack with him.
As for my angst for today's game, maybe I'll hope for a Midsummer Nights Dream!
[I will say, I was really hoping to turn my cell phone back on after the play and see a 9-8 comeback victory]
