And, to be fair, Mike Leake's "A game" is C level pitching.

Not ready to call it, but you can't let Leake keep getting lit up by non-power hitters...

    Go Reds.
I think Dusty wins in spite of himself sometimes. I'm a fan, but last night Aroldis Chapman should have faced Buster posey, and it's hings like that that get me down on him. And Rolen lost his job in May. Yet there he was, healthy as a tomcat.....

Stubbs strikes out on 3 pitches. Looks like Zito located the strike zone.

Drew swings and misses and Stubbs out to begin the second

He played high school ball in the North East and scouts didn't get to see a lot of him because it was a pretty rainy year.
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

Here's what's going to happen -- the deeper the game goes, the more the pressure is going to build on the Reds. They're human, they can sense they're choking this whole thing away. They know Latos hasn't been feeling well, and they know Matt Cain is one of the best pitchers in baseball. They don't want this to go to a Game 5, where the chokejob can be complete and they'll be eliminated.

    So they'll start to press.

And that plays right into the hands of a guy like Barry Zito, who is happy to spin up awful pitch after awful pitch.

And before you know it, the game is over and they've been shut out over the remainder of the game.

I'm just hoping that losing last night hasn't put the Reds into a funk. When your starter gives you a 1-hitter, you should take advantage of it.

Impossible to get shut out... The Reds already scored a run.
