Well, at least the bars will make a lot of money this evening. Depressing.

This is not a choke job. This is Dusty Baker showing his limitations as a manager. I'm glad he gets along with the players but he leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to in game decision making.

Last night was frustrating but this is infuriating today. I get they were in a bad position with Leake but leaving him in for the 4th with no one warming up. Then down 2 and you bring in Arredondo and leave him in to face the lefty.

I don't get Arredondo. It's the 7th inning. Marshall, Broxton, Chapman. How is that hard?

I wouldn't be surprised to see him bring in Latos for the 8th

I would leave Arredondo in at this point. What's it matter? They're not going to score 5-6 runs against the Giants pen with 9 outs remaining.

My biggest criticism of Dusty for a long long long time, ever since I've posted here, is that he has a tendency to leave pitchers in too long. I guess that can be okay in the regular season, but it's certainly NOT okay in the playoffs. He did it twice today in huge spots. Bochy on the other hand, had his pen warming in the 1st inning when Zito was in trouble. Granted, Bochy and the Giants were against the wall, but it's as if Dusty doesn't manage with any urgency. Maybe that will change tomorrow? Does Dusty ever manage with urgency?

They are still wooing. Some Reds fans are just complete morons. Double play to end the inning.

I was saying this for months and was brushed off. I've supported Dusty, but this is unacceptable.

the reds come back and win this game, the woo is the official cheer, otherwise it should die.

Dusty Baker is a great regular season manager. Great with managing the clubhouse, but in the post season his in-game skills are highlighted and they have been found lacking. Hell, Latos made the decision for him in game 1 and LeCure was a given.

I really think Dusty did punt this game. Save everyone for tomorrow. Although doesn't explain why Simon didn't pitch. Happy the thief got hit though.

I never saw the post, but I would've chimed in with agreement. I guess in the regular season when you're ahead in the standings, and when you're winning games, it's more forgivable.

I am just dumbfounded to see it in a very meaningful playoff game.
