    Latos seriously has video game stuff right now. His control is so good that when he gets ahead he can just nibble around the strike zone until he has to throw a strike. He can put the ball wherever he wants right now.

    Agreed. At this point, he only needs the waste pitches to change eye levels or to try to get hitters chasing something just barely outside the zone. No sense in truly wasting anything with his control.
