He was saving him for the NLCS

Dusty was looking ahead toward 2013 Opening Day.

"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Interesting, too. Now we're the "make the playoffs but lose in spectacularly terrible ways" kind of bad. 2010 - sweep with a no-hitter; 2012 - three straight losses at home, first NL team to lose after going up 2-0.

Dusty reminds me of Bob Huggins. He can put up a good season, but he can't win the big one.

I hope the Giants bring in Dave Giusti.

I would feel a whole lot better.

That would have been nice in the 7th inning yesterday.

Cain still in, I call us wearing him down next inning.
There is no such thing as a pitching prospect.

I predict back to back to back to back home runs to tie it.

I don't know if that's fair. I don't think Huggins' teams were in a hole because of poor decisions he made.
