    your reds mvp

Who was your reds MVP for the season? You can only name ONE player...I know its tough.
I give it to Hanigan. He handled our pitching staff so well, and adds a dependable bat. Consumate pro everyday. He barely edges out BP.

Didn't see Hanigan coming, although I won't disagree!

    My first thought was Chapman.

BP - He has the most amazing reactions/instincts of any player I have ever seen.

Ryan Ludwick, 26 HR and 80 RBI in just 422 AB and went into beast mode when Joey hit the DL to help salvage the season when things looked scary. Then he hit .333 with 4 walks and hit 3 Jacks but never had anyone on base for them and made some big plays in the OF.

That's right Homey....Like La Russa, Baker did not know how to use RL....I told you guys the minute Lud hit Cincy that it was a MONSTER aquisition. I recall predicting that batting behind Votto he would bat .270, get 30 HR's and 90+ RBI. Very few believed me. But if he had played every day he would have exeeded all those numbers.

Due to Votto's down time, and the fact that JC is a pitcher, I would call it a dead heat between Ludstick and BP.

You have to have 2 categories...Without pitching you are nothing....
In order Chapman, Hanigan, Cueto...Chapman because do you remember how agonizing each game was with our $12mil CoCo?? Hanny because he calls just an excellent game & he kept Latos off the ledge & kept him focused...& without Cueto you had nothing to build from...he was the 'Rock' & Bailey & Latos followed his lead....

For me without Luddy we never had a chance to get here...

In spite of being a HUGE Luddy guy, I have to say that winning the div. by 10 eliminates any 1 player from making a difference. I estimate that w/o Lud you still win by from 2 and 4 games.

BP actually had his worst OPS season as a Red this year, he was a key player and played great D but can't see him as top 3 in team MVP.
