Like to see the Reds sign Keppinger to be a bat off the bench

He always hit well here and a way better player than both Cairo and Valdez combined. Knows how to play 3rd/SS/2B. I had hoped they would put in a claim for him or even trade for him before Sept 1st.. maybe this off season he can be had...

He would be a great fit for sure with a nice bat and great versatility.

You guys will simply never learn. We do not need any more right handed bats, on the bench or anywhere else. We need left handed bats.

an you mean he would be a waste compared to a Cairo or Valdez?? thats ridiculous.. he can HIT.. and yes we do need lefty bats, but he is a VERY good hitter this team needs coming off the bench.. not like the garbage this team got this season from Cairo/Valdez!!

I agree. If he makes the team better, then bring him back.

I do not think we can give him enough AB, he is going to want 300-400

If we go with Todd at 3B he could be in line for a ton of AB if he doesn't repeat close to his early 2012 run. When you factor in that with Votto's knee, Cozart's bat and BP getting banged up a ton this year he could get that easy.

I like JK. I think most of us do.

I've been assuming that Gregorius and Rodriguez will make the team at some point next year. But Keppinger would be an interesting acquisition.

Obviously you replace guys like Cairo or Valdez with left handed utility men. Assuming right handed hitters like Heisy. Meseraco, and Rolen return in 2013, we must add lefties or we'll have the same problem we had this year- .248 average against right handed pitchers. Jeff Keppinger is not the answer. Why is this so complicated?
