In the days of my youth... played lotsa metal in bands. Sharing a video from those days. The older Iron Maiden fans might recognize this song from their Piece of Mind album. WARNING: One bad word in the middle of the song (darn singer lol).

Sadly Clive Burr of Iron Maiden and Samson fame passed away.

I will have to give Number of the Beast, Burr's last Maiden album, a good listening tonight. It is overdue for a turn in the CD player anyway.
What if this is as good as it gets?
Two classics off Number of the Beast

I know that Run to the Hills seems to obvious, but it is one of my favorite songs. Not just Maiden, not just metal, one of my favorite songs. Period.

Me too. Also some of the highest range vocals ever done by Dickinson in a song (if you ever hear a live performance of it, Bruce is not getting that high lol).
RIP, Clive Burr. The lineup that recorded the Number of the Beast album will always be my favorite. I hope Clive is now jamming with Keith Moon and John Bonham.
Find the live version of Phantom of the Opera from the Maiden Japan EP. Burr kills it on that. Of course I'm biased because that's my favorite IM song.

Here's another early Iron Maiden classic that fits in well as a fitting tribute to Clive Burr.
As an aside, this track used to garner significant radio airplay before suits controlled everything. IMHO, one of the very best of the Paul Di'Anno/Clive Burr era.

Wow... I have it in near mint condition. Used to buy albums, record them to cassette for listening and then put the cover/album in a plastic sleeve to be safe. Of course I would not think of ebaying it! I went and counted my Iron Maiden album collection. 15 total. All LPs thru Somewhere in Time, Maiden Japan, Live After Death, 5 singles (Number of Beast, Trooper, Icarus, Aces High, 2 Minutes) and two earlier albums that both have Margaret Thatcher on their covers (one she has just been stabbed by Eddie / other she is in army uniform with rifle in hand aka Women in Uniform). I was an IM junkie back in the day (and Priest too lol).
