I really didn't like Deion Sanders before he was a Red when he was Prime Time and Neon Deion and all that crap. I mean, *really* didn't like.
I loved him when he was on the Reds. Fastest player I've ever seen.
I went back to not liking him post-Reds. No longer a severe distaste, but I'm just not a fan of his persona.
I think I could put up with any player if he was on the Reds. It's the name on the front of the uni, not the back.

There's rumors that Zod plays a mean centerfield. His UZR, some have claimed, is 100 per year and always catches home runs. He can play on my team anytime.
EDIT: Just researched Zod's WAR. Dude is putting up 65 WAR seasons.

Carp, Yadi, Nyjer for the obvious picks... I don't want that clubhouse culture, whether it wins or not...
Off the beaten path? Carlos Marmol is more stress than I can handle...
On the same line of thought but a blast from the past? Danny Graves...
Oh, and I hate Lohse too... Thanks for stinking it up here, and being good in StL... Turncoat...
2010 Mock Draft Selections (picking for Rays)

I keep seeing sentiment along these lines, but I think one thing the Reds have capitalized on is getting rid of the "rooting for laundry" mindset. There's definitely a marketable continuity and character to this team that, as far as I can tell, has piqued the interest of the casual fan beyond what a winning ballclub filled with spare parts would have.
Rafael Betancourt. I don't care about his performance, his slooooooooooowwwwwww pre pitch shenanigans make him unwatchable. I think hitters fall to sleep or are hypnotized, so they forget they are even hitting by the time he delivers a pitch.

Ehhh, I suppose. I understand what you're saying and I really like the current team too. But the Dunn/Griffey teams petered out when it came to attendance. Winning trumps all and gets the casual fan in the ballpark. Losing is like a slow leak in a balloon.
My order of things is:
1. win with good guys
2. win with bad guys
3. lose with good guys
4. lose with bad guys

Matt Holliday. I would turn in my Reds Fan Membership Card if they ever acquired him.
Eric Stratton, Rush Chairman. Damn glad to meet ya.
