    This one's tough. It hurts.

You have to wonder if concussions played into this. Just awful. RIP.

Wow, that's messed up. This is a depressing time of year for a lot of people. If anybody you know is acting different please watch out for them.

    RIP Mr. Freel.

He was an exciting player. I didn't find a link to his defensive play, but here is a link to his offensive fire:

I admit that crossed my mind briefly, but didn't want to bring it up just yet for some odd reason.

    Terrible news.
How do we know he's not Mel Torme?

I don't know Ryan's exact history of concussions, but from his in-season DUI's I always got the impression he had certain demons.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Me too; I'm just stunned by this sad sad news. He must have been very troubled. I just loved him during his five seasons with Reds.

RIP Ryan....I'll always remember your amazing catch off of Pujols bat in GABP. It was the greatest defensive play I've ever seen live. The fans gave you a minute long standing ovation. Thanks for the memories....and I hope your soul finds some comfort somewhere.
    So sweet.

Such awful news. There just aren't any words for something as sad and unfortunate as this.

I just can't seem to wrap my mind around this for some reason. It has saddened me deeply, and it's all I can think about tonight.
