Let's hope Felix Perez has a better debut than Jumbo.

Carlos Contreras called up from AA. Guessing we see him today given the dire state of the bullpen.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

God I hate the word "recalled" for a player that has never played in the Majors before. What a misnomer. I know it's technically correct based on MLB's lingo, but the proper term should be "called-up."
I missed the game last night -- thankfully -- did Broxton still have diminished velocity like his appearance before?
Just wondering if he is DL bound?
The older I get - the better I was
and yes - I hate the Cardinals (Reds fan since 1958)
I miss Raisor
Broxton pitched okay. Everyone else was a mess.
I hope Jumbo doesn't get the boot after 1 outing and 2 home runs that were arguably GABP specials. I can't wait to see Contreas pitch in the bigs. He has the stuff to be a legit part of this staff for awhile IMO.

Reds Designate Roger Bernadina For Assignment
By Charlie Wilmoth [June 21, 2014 at 12:12pm CDT]
The Reds have announced that they’ve designated Roger Bernadina for assignment. The move clears space on the Reds’ active roster for pitcher Carlos Contreras.
Bernadina, who turned 30 last week, has hit .153/.286/.203 in 71 plate appearances for Cincinnati this year. The Reds signed him to a minor league deal in January. The outfielder has a career .236/.306/.352 line in parts of seven seasons with the Nationals, Phillies and Reds.
Contreras, 23, has not pitched above Double-A Pensacola, but he’s gotten good results there, posting a 2.70 ERA with 12.2 K/9 and 5.0 BB/9 in 20 innings this season. MLB.com ranks him as the Reds’ No. 5 prospect.
