    A Very Baseball Christmas - Redszone's 2012 Edition

Every year I like to start a thread about all the baseball and Reds things we got for Christmas.

This year was another good one. My wife gave me a Post-Season 2012 t-shirt, although it's funny, because we gave our oldest daughter one of the Reds' Central Division Championship shirts, which she told us she wasn't a big fan of (didn't like the design). To that comment, I chimed in that I wasn't a fan of the whole "Post Season 2012" line. Oops. But I do like, as my daughter noted, the list of the team on the bag. I'll grow to like it and look forward to more in the future.

I also got a new copy of my favorite baseball book "Bang the Drum Slowly." I lent my copy to someone years ago and never got it back (and couldn't remember who I gave it to). I'll be more careful with this one.

Finally, my wife gave me something I passed on to her months ago. I think WOY first mentioned this here on RZ (Thanks!) - The Barry Halper Collection of Baseball Memorabilia. http://www.amazon.com/Barry-Halper-C.../dp/0962258873 Can wait to delve into it.

I gave my wife a canvas shopping bag with the baseball sunrise design on it, although I had to email her to ask her to add the bag to the store! It turned out great: http://www.zazzle.com/a_great_day_fo...38482056032238

So what about the rest of you? How as the jolly old elf dressed in Red for you all?

Edit: I forgot, my wife also had friends bring me back a Baseball Hall of Fame sweatshirt when they were up there working on a book they're putting together.

I received a Reds warmup jacket from the f-i-l. Gave him, a huge Royals fan, a Brett jersey. Also received a lotof Bengals gear though I am actually more a Chiefs fan in football. Everyone hust associates me with anything Cincinnati. Huge Reds fan lukewarm Royals fan but I left Cincinnati for the Marines the year after the Bengals began and never had that childhood bond there like I had with the Reds so football is just the reverse of baseball fandom for me. Of course, with the Chiefs suckitude this year I will be screaming Bengals throughout the playoffs!
