The optomist in me says: Todd Frazier's little run at ROY. Best Bullpen, best record, and close to the best starting rotation. Also, Votto's multi-HR game that closed out with a grand slam.

The pessimist in me says: Drew Stubbs not showing up to the party, again. A boat load of injuries, and Dusty Baker's in-game managment decisions.

The pessimist in me wins, though, with this: Our post season showing was horrendous despite excellent pitching in most of the games.

There is a lot to be optimistic about for 2013. I'm looking forward to my first Opening Day, after spending Opening Day 2012 in Key West for a wedding I decided it was time to take the day off work and get tickets for 2013.

As much as would LOVE be all "Rainbows and Unicorns" about 2012, that gag job to end the season still stings too much to say anything else.

I can't complain about that at all! I actually watched the game in a bar on Duval St. and ran into a local who was born in Dayton and was a big Reds fan. Shot the breeze with him and his wife for most of the game. Had a great time!

Other than the playoffs it was Todd and Ludwick taking off and leading the offense after Joey got hurt.

Probably having an opening day party at my house. Even non baseball fans had a great time!

PLUS......the ones everyone mentioned. I also have to add that Phillips and Cueto not being named to the All-Star team was bad memory. Attending game 5 of the NLDS was a great memory even though we lost.

Sadly, my standout memory was listening to game 5 while I was at work. I was screaming in my head for Dusty to pull Latos. He did not...
