    Seems possible he took a very wide angle from 1st to 2nd, does it not? no chalk = no 3b, right? But that is a lot of dirt if it were behind 2nd.

    Airbrushed out... photo originally ran in SI, let's at least assume that they cleaned up photos for the magazine, if they didn't it would be more surprising than if they did.

    Seen this picture the first time and a hundred times thereafter, I never have seen that as anything but a slide into third base, this discussion didn't change that. I guess this proves anything can be debated.

    It definitely is not Griffey, Foster, Driessen or Borbon.

    Alcala was 6-5" so it's not him.
