It does look pretty ugly on the replay and regardless of the intent it's a shame to see a player of his caliber go down like that.
That is a tough, tough loss for the Sens. As much as I think Matt Cooke is a dirty player, I don't think it was intentional. It was just one of those hockey plays that happen. Still, I don't know how the Sens are going to recover from this and I really don't know if Karlsson will be the same elite level talent after this injury.

So Mike, what's your take on Allen? He's looking pretty solid, making some phenomenal saves these last couple games.

He looks like a real keeper. What I love about him is his foot and glove work. He has extremely fast feet and an amazing glove from what I've seen. He's really young so it's going to take time for him to adjust.

Another thing, I really think Vancouver needs to be applauded for being visionary in breaking the gender barrier. It must have been brave for them to break away from tradition and allow women like Kesler to play this game.

He's hardly ever out of position and his glove is lightning fast. They're going to have some decisions to make in the near future.

Once your players begin to tune you out, you're done.
But Ruff deserved a better roster. On that note, Regier should have been canned years ago.

Yeah, its likely to become more and more rare you have coaches that last 15+ years in a single place for that very reason. Buffalo deserves better.

Hawks made history last night, best start in NHL history. Hope they finish what they started.

gahh... will they ever lose? I have a feeling it's going to come to an end when they come into St. Louis next week.

Will they ever lose? No...no they won't.

Ok yes they will sooner or later, hopefully not against Columbus next Friday when I make the trek up to the Madhouse to take in the action.

I've been seeing all this talk about realignment and the word is that if this is done Columbus would end up in the eastern conference. The selfish part of me doesn't want to see that happen because the way things are now I can always get to see the Blues in Columbus a couple times a year. I think Detroit would move to the east as well.

I would hate to lose those rivalries with Detroit vs. Chicago and Detroit vs. St. Louis for the sake of realignment.

It's going to happen, the Bostons and leafs of the world want the Wings back.

Personally I feel for the Hawks all alone away from the original six and me... I love the late starts out here

Especially now since the Blues are actually beating Detroit on occasion.
