Reds:
Elmer Dessens (41) -28-27 as a Red from 2000-02. Traded away in a convoluted four-way deal that netted the Reds Felipe Lopez. I wouldn't rule out the idea that he can still pitch; he was effective in a small sample size as recently as 2010. Any chance of a non-roster invite?
Kevin Mitchell (50) -There are a million stories about Kevin; some of them are even true. Joe Oliver said, "He's so funny there should be a cover charge to listen to him". Kevin never wore a cup because, he claimed, he could never find one that fit him.
Others:
Odell Jones (59) -Undistinguished pitcher, mostly for the Pirates and Mariners. On May 25, 1988, he was called on to make an emergency start when Ted Higuera came up injured, and surprisingly, pitche 8 1/3 innings of no-hit ball. "I remember looking out at the scoreboard", he said later, "and thinking what in the world am I doing???".
Bob Forsch -The only Cardinal to pitch two no-hitters, and with brother Ken the only brothers to pitch no-hitters.
Mike Tyson (62) -Not the ear-biting, tattoo-faced fighter- the second baseman who shared a birth date with ex-teammate Forsch.
