Krebs retired unless you know something I don't. Gilmartin is a Bakersfield or Pensacola player. Van Mil and Dennick are probably more likely to Pensacola. Hayes is a Triple-A guy. Not sure they have their starting AAA catcher in the org yet. Ashley has never been a starter in Triple-A and it is not often that teams sign six-year free agents with the plan of increasing their profile. Corky can be expected to give them 60-80 games but he is now a 37 year old catcher and injuries become a risk. I think LaMarre makes the Triple-A club. Hessman is also there. I am not sold on the fact that B-Ham starts in Triple-A. It might happen, but if I was betting, I would say he starts in Pensacola. He has two months in AA. Has WJ addressed that this winter?

    Louisville maybe something like this:

C: Miller and TBA or Ashley
    1B: Soto
    2B: Burriss
    3B: HRod
    SS: Izturis
    LF: Robinson/F Perez
    CF: LaMarre
    RF: Phipps/Fellhauer
    DH: Hessman
    Util: Negron/Puckett

And Pensacola could look like this:

C: Barnhart and Ashley or Fleury
    1B: Lutz/Mills
    2B: Greene/Chang/M.Smith
    3B: Vidal
    SS: Lohman
    LF: B. Smith
    CF: Hamilton
    RF: Selsky
    Util: Samson
    OF: Bowe/Means

Some of those older guys I have with PCola could go to Triple-A if there is an opening, such as Samson, Marquez Smith.

I think you're right on the mark with this lineup for AAA. I also see the Reds announced today their non-roster players they invited to Spring Training this year!

Walt said at Redsfest that Hamilton would likely be in Louisville to start the year.

Dennick and Van Mil will be in AAA, just like last year. I forgot about Hessman. BHam will be in Lou to start the season, LaMarre might. Gilmartin will be the starting 2B in AAA as well. Samson as well. These signing allow the AA players not being rushed to AAA. Hayes I could see being in Lou

Dennick was in Double A last year. Van Mil was in Double A for all but 16 innings and his ERA in Triple A was over 6.00. Gilmartin was in Single A.

Now that we know who is at AA, there is going to be quite a few players leftover without a spot at AAA when the final decisions are announced. Unless I've missed a release or two, right now there are 20 or so picthers in contention for a spot at Louisville. Dan Corcino, Tony Cingrani, Pedro Villareal, Chad Reinecke, Armando Gallarraga, Greg Reynolds, Mark Prior, Jeff Marquez, Wilkin De La Rosa, Clay Hensley, Justin Freeman, Nick Christiani, Mark Serrano, Jeff Stevens, Kanekoa Texiera, Kevin Whelan, Jose Diaz and the losers of the major league battle, possibly Logan Ondrusek or maybe JJ Hoover if they decide to option him to hang onto guys on the big league roster.

I'd guess sorting through AAA and looking for deals to thin the herd may be contributing to the delay in announcing the final Reds' roster. Lots of guys are going to go in the next day or two I'd guess.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

If this article has been posted elsewhere I apologize. This piece is from the mlb.com page and is specific to the Bats manager, Jim Rigglemen. Pretty good read.

Thanks. That was a very interesting article. Riggleman may get another chance one day. Seems like a good man.
