Great honoring of the White Sox by the Cubs.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

There is not truth to the rumor that the original episode of America's Funniest Home Videos was a Cubs highlight reel.
It is on the whole probable that we continually dream, but that consciousness makes such a noise that we do not hear it. Carl Jung.

I think I may be one of the few people here who isn't bothered by the Cubs or their fans at all. I root against them, sure, but they have that sort of harmless, kid brother feel to them.
It's similar in football. The Browns stink. I don't like them. I'll make fun of them a little, but my primary concerns are the Steelers and Ravens, because they've by and large been much better than the Bengals.
I hate the Cardinals because they're good. For most of my life it seems like ive watched the Reds beat up on the Cubs. They're almost to be pitied.

Since there are no teams on the moon, I guess South Korea's far enough from Cincinnati to satisfy me.

Just a bump for going from 2 out, nobody on tie game in the 9th to a 6-1 loss on a bloop, a squibber, a fister, a walk, and a blast. Nobody does it better.
"Rounding 3rd and heading for home, good night everybody"
The Cubs lose because they are "a good Lutheran team."

The two out thing is legit, but your characterization of the first three hits is an interesting rewrite of history. Don't take away from the Reds' efforts.
That said, the Cubs are getting Cy Young pitching from Samarjdza and Ariette, the offense is improved, and it seemed like all eight of the RP that were brought in the last two days had exceptional ERAs. What gives? How is this team so terrible?
