Taft was the biggest baseball fan of any Pres. I believe he even played minor league baseball. I think it's appropriate

So I suppose Taft and Teddy will interfere with one another, which will allow an as-yet unannounced Woodrow Wilson mascot to appear out of nowhere and overtake them both?

Yep, I'd say maybe Bush senior is the biggest Baseball fan, he was the captain of Yale's championship college baseball team and he played in the 1947 College World Series.

Manager of that team was Withrow High, UC Bearcat, Cincinnati Red, Ethan Allen.

Came for a Two Man Gentlemen Band reference, was not disappointed.

If you ever get a chance to see the TMGB* live, do it. They've got some great patter and talent.

I think Carol King's "I Feel The Earth Move" would be more appropriate.

It would be fitting in 2015 just before the Allstar game to have a 1990 25 year celebration during a series against the Nationals. This of course would include a 1990 turn back the clock retro uniform as well.
Hugs, smiling, and interactive Twitter accounts, don't mean winning baseball. Until this community understands that we are cursed to relive the madness.

That would the 10 year anniversary of the Expos moving to Washington. The Nats could honor them for having such sorry attendance by wearing their uniforms for a game.

Apparently the reasoning behind the selection of Taft is that he was the first president to throw out the first pitch at a baseball game.
