Another Attempt at a RedsZone locator pin map

I know that there have been a couple of earlier attempts at a RedsZone pin map that ultimately fell by the wayside due to vandalism or limitations of the system. I came across a new site offering free group-pinnable maps that use Google Maps as the base map and figured it would be fun to try this again.

This one is simple. You enter your RedsZone username and zip code and the system puts a pin in the center of your zip code. There is also a field for "shoutouts." I don't have any clever ideas for how to use shoutouts, but don't post anything there that you wouldn't be allowed to post here. The vandalism on the previous versions drained the fun out of this effort, so as a pre-emptive measure: Mean-spirited, provocative shoutouts and fake member entries can and will lead to a member entry being deleted. Feel free to PM me or update this thread if you see anything problematic on the map.

11 pins already!

There is an option to re-center the map on a zip code, so I chose 45202, the zip code for GABP. I also zoomed in the default view to about a 1-state radius around GABP to better resolve the folks who live within a few hours drive of Cincinnati.

I'm lonely all the way down there by myself.

It said my zip code was invalid. So I put in a nearby zip. Same city, but wrong side of the I-10 interstate.

Doh, apparently the shoutouts don't overwrite, but rather add to each other.

So mine are a little redundant.

Mine says St. Mary's, IN, but I don't think they would let me go there.

I can't modify your pin, but I can remove it if you want to put in a new one with a different zip code.

No, its kind of funny. Notre Dame has a post office, which is the zip code I used. Most of the time it shows up as Notre Dame. But, along with ND, there is the all girl school St. Mary's. And since I am not of the right sex (not to mention I don't think they have a grad school, so there's 2 reasons), I cannot go there, which makes it kinda funny. That's all. Furthermore, both of them are in South Bend, so none of it matters.

Mine says "Lockland, OH" based on the fact that part of my zip code is in Lockland, but that's definitely not where I live.

Mine says Parkdale while I actually live in Forest Park, but that's just a minor quibble.
