His tree? what on earth is he talking about?

Why would the girl who is "somebody's baby," refer to herself as somebody's baby - and in the third person?

And what's that last line thrown in there for? (It doesn't relate to the next line either.)

How about this gem from REM's Leaving New York:

"It's easier to leave than to be left behind
Leaving was never my proud
Leaving New York Never easy"

Leaving was never your proud? Okay then.

Nd2, I'm with you on that one. I could damn near start another thread that consisted entirely of mis-sung lyrics that I have personally heard bellowed from the backseat of my car as a youth:

Yep... Bruce is from our former great car culture, Thunder Road, Racing in the Streets, Backstreets, Johnny 99, and on and on and on..... Cars used to be a very important part of a young mans life... you must remember the joy you felt when you popped the hood and you could actually fix something without a degree in electrical engineering.

I'd write a song about that too.
