MLB subscription; changes from last year (2/28)
One thing I don't understand... they say this is ideal if you're traveling and want to watch from your hotel room but yet a blackout applies if your team is playing within a radius that offers your local cable affiliate's TV within the area of your IP address. Seems to me you could miss a whole lot of baseball games if you're on the road. What am I missing?

In 2004 I had MLB.TV as a free add-on to a Microsoft subscription thingy that was just $9.95 a month. If anyone sees a deal that includes MLB.TV as a throw-in with something else, or anything that discounts the price, please post it here.

The blackout rules are ridiculous, unless you're within 25 miles of a teams stadium you shouldn't be counted in their home territory

according to an e-mail i received today, the new tech is that you can watch multiple games at once. I also wish they would work on the video quality too.
and Krono, as you know, I despise the blackout rules. I'm 3 1/2 hours away from Cincy and can't watch the Reds....why?

Due to the blackouts, sounds like a total waste of money. Maybe just subscribing to the audio would be more beneficial.
If I was subscribing, I think I'd find out from MLB.com what the deal is with the blackouts. There must be someone to field questions from a prospective subscriber... or is this just another thing that they can't seem to do right?

Re: MLB subscription; changes from last year (2/28)
MLB.TV is a waste of money with all the blackout rules.
Plus, the cost of it is rediculous knowing that first 500 subscribers probably pays paid for the cost of delivering the content, the rest is gravy to them. Bah. Ill take the MLB audio. No blackout rules and I can do other things while playing the audio.
