Re: Game Thread: Reds vs. The Baby Bears 6/29/2006
![]() Scouting Report: Ramirez looked sharp en route to earning his second victory of the season, a 7-3 win over the Brewers on Tuesday night. He allowed three runs on five hits, struck out three, and walked three in five innings. His control got him into trouble in the third, when he walked two batters with two outs and a man on, then allowed a bases-clearing double. This will be his first career appearance against the Cubs. This will be Wood's third start of the season. The Cubs are concerned about his cranky right shoulder and pushed Wood back a day. In his last outing against the Marlins, he gave up two hits but walked five over five innings while striking out three. The right-hander had not thrown between starts because of soreness in his shoulder.

I hate lineups that bat Rich Aurilia fourth. I'm sorry but that's just ridiculous... he's probably batted in that slot more than anyone else on the team. And his record doesn't warrent it... for Pete's sake move Kearns up!

Re: Game Thread: Reds vs. The Baby Bears 5/29/2006
The cubs and their bullpen had a long day yesterday so the key to the game will be to make Wood throw alot of pitches early and get to the bullpen.
