Brett Myers???
mlbtraderumors.com speculates that Brett Myers (the wife beating guy) may be available from the Phillies. Anyone else infatuated with the fact that he's 25, struck out a batter an inning last year and has very good stuff enough to look over his "mistake" and give him a fresh start?

He needs a change of scenery so badly. I just don't know how he fits here. From a talent perspective what would the Phillies require in return for him?

With Lierberthal injured all year and a free agent, they need a catcher, so I would begin with Larue. They need some help at third base for next year once Bell leaves, but no way I even discuss EE. They'll have Lieber, Madson, Hamels and Mathieson in the rotation fo next year, and would probably like a AAA ML ready type arm in return, maybe Germano? Perhaps an outfielder when Abreu is traded. So:
Larue, Germano and Deno for Myers? |
