Re: Friggin Yankees
I have no idea what that says... but I bet they signed about 10 million dollars worth of international players right?

Re: Friggin Yankees
I can't read the article either but I'll add my 2 cents...
I hate the Yankees It will be so great if Boston can win the division and Tigers/White Sox win the wild card. SO great |

Re: Friggin Yankees
Can't hardly blame the Yankees; it's the system that isn't right. Globalizing the draft would help.

Re: Friggin Yankees
Whoops...my bad. They signed the "consensus top prospect, Venezuelan catcher Jesus Montero, for $2 million" and are starting to wipe their posteriors with the slotting system.
Ian Kennedy: Somewhere btw $2.25 and 2.6 million. Expected slot was $1.45 million. Betances: Broke the record also held by NYY (2005 - Austin Jackson) for an 8th rounder at $1 million. Hey Bud, the system still isn't fixed. |

Re: Friggin Yankees
It kills me how some teams can do that. Drew Stubbs, our first round pick was selected by the Astros in the 3rd round and offered him a million bucks and Bud stepped in and said no, you have to offer him close to slot money. He went to college and we got him instead. The Yankees can offer a million bucks to Betances though? He was a projected 2nd round type guy, but signability issues dropped hm to the 8th, but its ridiculous.

Re: Friggin Yankees
Its done, Betances is signed. Its just a joke that Bud picks and chooses where he steps in. Wish he wouldnt have stepped in with Stubbs, then we couldnt have drafted him.
