Todd Helton + 30 lbs.

Has anyone else heard that Helton added 30 lbs of muscle this winter? ESPN reported this yesterday. That is IMPOSSIBLE without steroids. That is ridiculous. I can't find any pictures of him right now online. He is going to look ridiculous if he did gain that much in muscle.

That's why it's more like 30 lbs with a lot of fat.

Or else he juiced.

Re: Todd Helton + 30 lbs.

IIRC, he lost about 15-20 lbs last year due to illness. So perhaps his +30 weight is really only +10-15.

With that goat on his face, the side profile, the black uni, and little belly, he looks like Ozzie Guillen.

With the weight added and also the addition of the full goatee and he does look different....a tad like a Bagwell, maybe?

Clearly Todd's aiming to be among the cream of the crop this season.

Re: Todd Helton + 30 lbs.

Didn't a broadcaster (with a Cardinals and Rockies connection) say something to the effect that Helton was a juicer? Helton proceeds to go ballistic (steroid induced?), then the broadcaster retracted the statement. Somebody help me out, Bueller, Bueller?

Ex-Rockies announcer Wayne Hagin (1996-2003) accused Helton and then retracted. Me thinks he only retracted b/c he did not have concrete evidence (audio or video).

If you remove the words "of muscle," I disagree. The guy from Supersize me did it in a month, and I did it my first semester of graduate school.
